Lancaster University will use your personal information to administer your Open Learning Course/s. By entering your details, you are entering into an agreement with Lancaster University for access to Open Learning courses.

To register as a new user you are required to enter your username, a password and an email address. The user name and password is used to log into your account. The email is used to confirm your registration and to contact you, for example, if you have forgotten your password. If you are a student or member of staff at Lancaster University you can use your university details or create a new user account.

You are required to provide a name and surname. Please note that your name will be visible to other people on your course. All other information added to your profile is optional, but will then be visible to others on the course.

Your information within the Open Learning site is not shared across the University or with other organisations.

We will keep your information for as long as you are enrolled on a course, and for one further year after your last successful login.

Contact the DPO if you have any concerns or complaints. If you are not happy with the way the University has handled your concern or complaint then you may submit a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Officer.
